My father (Mr. Francis William Fisher) said that he used to stay at Yeppoon for his holidays. One day when they were young, they noticed a horse and cart tied up to the railing – apparently it belonged to the local chinese merchant, who came every week selling goods- and after selling he would partake of some liquid refreshment. During that down time, dad said that he and his brother unhitched the horse, and pushed the cart very quietly back until the hitching post was inside the area where the horse pulled it and then hitched the horse back again. dad said that the look on this chinamans face when he tried to drive off half cut, was a study and well worth the beating they both got
