An elderly lady who lives in Launceston started work in the offices at Everards in the late 1950s. She recalls seeing the barges being prepared every year for the races and said that it was a great pity that the 3 racers were unrigged and ‘Dreadnaught’ and ‘Sara’ broken up. One wonders what condition their hulls were in after being sailed hard with the massive amount of gear.
