Archibald and sons (2)

Archibald and sons (2)

Photograph by Tosca, Queen Street, Brisbane. c. 1900. Someone has written the names on the back:
L to R
Back: Lucius, Willingham Franklin, Jack, Charlie
Front: Maul, AJR, Unidentified

Comparing this with the previous picture, we can find a bit of common ground, but not enough. We can say with some confidence which are Maul and Charlie, because they stand out a bit as the youngest of Archie’s sons. Maul is wearing a Norfolk jacket (seated, left here) and Charlie is standing in both pictures, extreme right here, extreme left in the other picture. Archie is the old bloke in the light suit. After that it becomes much harder.

Gerry thinks the tallest man standing second from left is Jack (and agrees with herself in the other picture). But that contradicts what is written on the back of this one.

My head hurts.
